Does Buddhism Welcome Your Question?

Yes. Just as people's questions propel the storyline of the Lotus Sutra, your questions are welcome. Well, let's be precise: not only welcome, they are an essential part of our learning and practice. The sangha’s questions make us strong, enrich our learning, and inspire our practice. Did you remember what happened at Sangha Sunday on October 11? After Dharma Teacher Doris walked us through the meaning of the symbols of our Buddha statue, our dharma family raised a question, and that led us toward something we had never thought about: the Buddha’s essential teaching of the Four Noble Truths, perhaps expressed in the four Bodhisattvas from the Earth who float around Shakyamuni, linking it to the story of the Lotus Sutra. That is what we see at our dharma center, and that image is waiting for you to be installed through our home enshrinement ceremony that is available for ANY member of RKLA. I love your questions and our conversations. Your questions reflect your emotions and interests, shaped by the history of who you are. Honoring everyone’s questions is part of our Buddhist practice, one we are invited to carry into our everyday life.
